DC revealed it's new logo a few days ago, and considering all the pies it has it's fingers in (franchise-wise), I think it's a very slick and flexible logotype. Simple, clean and innovative. Last Saturday I had a ticket to sit in on an intimate chat with author/illustrator/director, Shaun Tan. The talk was on at 12-noon, and the comics meetup was at 2pm. I could fit both in comfortably. Once I've arranged the page's composition (previous post), I then print it out in cyan (blue) colour on my PIXMA inkjet. I then sit down and pencil over the rough composition in detail so that when I'm inking the page, I'm not guessing as much. This last week I've had one of those stiff necks where you can't turn your head. It was probably a combination of being stupid at the gym, and sleeping wrongly. It's only in the last day that I've been able to actually sit down with a pencil without screaming in pain.I penciled this page today during my lunch break at work.... DIGESTED.04 is done, and somewhere across the ocean getting ready for printing. It should be available within the next few weeks.
